Since Brabazon House first opened 113 years ago, it has been home to older people who seek companionship and society in a comfortable, safe environment.
This is still the case and we have 54 purpose-built apartments to enable people to live independently while being part of a sheltered community. They can do so in the knowledge that maintenance and heating are taken care of and that they are welcome to meet and dine with others in the main house in a sociable and friendly setting.
Residents are encouraged to live full and independent lives for as long as they can and are offered care, attention, security and comfort in pleasant surroundings.
We have noticed that, increasingly, people are leaving it later to come into sheltered and nursing home accommodation. If you are on the waiting list and in good health and are offered a place at Brabazon, don’t delay in availing of the social aspects, camaraderie and safe environment.
Priority is given to existing residents for the HIQA registered Nursing Home accommodation on site.
